Woohoo! 189 votes.

So far, at 10:15pm PDT:

337 Votes
1967 Lamborghini Miura P400 - 56 votes (16.6%)
1976 Ferrari 512 BB - 77 votes (22.8%)
1967 Toyota 2000GT - 15 votes (4.5%)
DeTomaso Pantera - 189 votes (56.1%)

So far, more people would go in their Pantera than all others combined.

(I think I read somewhere that Tom Tjaarda also designed the Miura; please step in and correct me if I'm wrong.)
The 512 BB is trailing by 119!! Have you voted yet?

I'm going to say that Gandini designed it before he left Bertone (who's carrozeria insignia is definitely on the flank). I'm positive Gandini did the original Countach and several other 'angle era' Lambos. (Jarama, Uracco, etc.)

The 'periscopo' models of the early Countach... just unreal. He did the Lancia Stratos as well, either of which are about crazy as a car gets.

Okay, back on topic... the Pantera is killing the other cars on the poll!

You're wrong. Adams too. It was designed by Giugiaro.

And to be blunt - but factual - I think you're a goob! Guigaro was (I think) already at Ghia by then. He may have started it, but I'll be you a DeTomaso keyring he didn't finish it. Now I'm going to some search-engine fact-finding web something to prove I'm right, and if that doesn't happen I'm going to just make something up.

And to the answer of the 'other' car that Gandini designed for DeTomaso, since I'm already in this deep I'll say Guara. The rear wheel arches give it away.

And DeTomaso owned Ghia, purchased it in 1967. The Mangusta was built by Ghia.

The Mangusta Coach was a joint effort of Giugiaro and Bizzarini, designed for Rivolta. Rivolta didn't want to be bothered with a mid-engine sports car, so rather than waste the effort put into the design DeTomaso massaged the coach to fit a chassis he had left over from a Shelby project, the P70 chassis. Pete Brock designed the P70 coach, Fantuzzi built the coach, but I don't think history firmly records who designed the P70 chassis.
