I have a 1972 detomaso pantera preL,
When i search the paint code for yellow, i found a dupont ref for the 1971 cars and an other for the 1972gts cars.
Is the 1972gts code is the same for the preL cars?

Since we are talking paint codes...does anyone know the paint codes for 1985 cars (specifically red)? Also, are there paint codes for the gold paint on the Campy wheels?

The red used in 1986 is Rosso Fuoco. I stumbled upon this recently. Here is the link.

Are these paint codes still relevant? I asked a couple of paint suppliers if they could make me some touch up paint to match my original 74L Yellow. I gave them the Ditzler 82110, DuPont 38807 and Italver 2409082. They could not find a formula for any of these codes in their database and said I'd have to get a custom mix done using their spectrometer, then get it sprayed and see if it matches when dried. The reason for the last step is because the type of original paint these cars have is no longer legal in California and the water based paints may change color when they dry...
