Two small points:
1) What exactly is the oil pump "high output modification"? I had a modified oil pump from PPC that failed in short order a few years ago.

2) Didn't John Christian receive the Long Distance Award at Reno last year for a drive from Detroit to Reno via San Francisco?

Sincerely, Chuck Engles

Chuck,

The oil pump has been modified to put out more pressure than a stardard high volume pump from Melling. PPC did this to help improve oil pressure because I have a liquid oil cooler in the front of the car and there is a resulting line loss because of it. This oil pump has close to 5K miles on it since it was installed and it is working great. The Autometer oil pressure gauge indicates 55 psi at normal engine operating temperature.

The individual that drove his car from Detroit in 2010 left before the end of the event. They did not give the award to him due to the fact that he was not there to receive it.

Here is the award from the 2010 Reno event. It was a long drive since we made a side trip to Staint George Utah on our way to Reno.

Dear Jack,

1) thanks for the short course in oil pumps
2) I remain unclear about who is selling the engine that started this thread. Is it you or Mr. JFFR or a Mr. Fusco?

Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Chuck it is Mr. Fusco that is selling the engine and JFFR is the same person. The engine really is out of my Pantera and if it does not sell within the next four or five months, I will bring it back home and part it out. I don't want a spare Cleveland engine sitting around that I will not put back into the Pantera.
