That GTS was my car. The other three had 'issues' causing low numbers. Two of the three had bondo so thick it pegged my electronic tester over 1/4", one on the roof one on the quarter. Both very noticeable. Potential buyers walked to the GT5, saw the sunroof & did an immediate 180. Along with the added flares, ears, hood, red interior, etc, & the car spit, sputtered, wouldn't run. Lucky it even did that. My car was #223 slated for prime time. They threw me under the bus. Numbers did not run sequentially they stuck in a bunch of cars. Example 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc all the way up to 9.1 9.2 9.3, even into the 30's. I was no longer the 223rd car, but 275th car. The crowd was gone when we went up very late. If you were watching, that was me & Mecum chatting the block, he says sell it at 95k when the bidding stalled. I said no. Takes a buck in my pocket. Anything over a buck he can keep. He reopened the bidding, two bids later he dropped the hammer at 105. Kept his 5 & paid me. Buyer paid almost 120k with fees, & shipping. All is good though. I broke the bank last two years at live auction so it was time for a strike out or punt.
I'm satisfied.
The car left the states. Shark
