Hey Coz,

I told you there are no Canadian pussies. Especially not Wayne. He drove 12 hours in the pouring rain to make it to Pocono last year.

And 12 of use drove thru the rain to make it Kingston a few weeks ago for the 1st Great Canadian Pantera meet. We Canucks know how to live - well, six months a year, anyhow. The other six months we dream of summer.
Damm Deed....
13 of you actually drove your cars in the rain ????? Oh my God !!!!

How many of them melted ? What a mess that must of been... Big Grin

It's really great to hear that Wayne won best of show. It's actually amazing. Best of show is usually reserved for the Pantera that someone spent 100,000.00+ on and only drives or trailers it to a car show and the rest of the time it sits in a garage. It's nice to hear that there were some judges and voters out there that can see more into someones Pantera other than the money spent by writing checks to feed an ego to say mine is better than yours. Most of these people don't even know what a wrench is let alone how to actually turn one.

Wish I could say that about the Pantera owners here. We have drivable weather pretty much 10 months a year and getting them out to do anything as a group is a joke, unless it's a car show or a once a month meeting. Then all they do is sit around in a circle jerk and talk the same old BS. Boring as can be. I don't waste my time anymore with local car shows or meetings for the most part. To clicky and a waste of time for my taste.

Most here, not all, but most, are just desert pussies....Oh it's too hot, oh it's too cold, oh it looks like rain, Bla, Bla, Bla.

But hey, to each his own...that's what makes the world go round. I bought my car to drive as well, not just talk about it as so many do.

You're lucky to have the group of guys you have there....

Coz,
I have to agree(glad somebody has the balls to say it), made time to attend the monthly meeting last Wedensday, 25 members in attendance, 2 Pantera showed. Needless to say, I'm done with the circle jerk, that was my last meeting!
Not saying I'd drive cross country in 6808(she really isn't a great touring car)but I did build what I think is a show car, and I intend to drive her like I stole her!I really do too!

Real proud of you and your cat,Wayne, very sad for Coz and Mark 6808. It's a little over 2 years we bought 6145 and Lena and I have been putting the miles on it and enjoying every minute. By doing that I must admit we have met a great deal of people which today are called our friends and enjoy each others company and spread the word on our fabulous car. It's a shame that so many buy them to have them sit in their garage instead of letting others see a work of art. Lena and I are already looking forward to spring to go and meet with our friends in Pocono and hopefully this time we wont be alone from Canada to go. Rob6145

At least your doing with what the car was intended for. Good for you Rob, wish there was more like you.
I too have met a lot of wonderful people that have become very dear friends. Those are the one's I hang with and do things with.
The rest can have their rocking chairs and garage queens.

Mark, you should head north and join up with us.

Informal and infrequent is the key to success. We have so little time to enjoy the cars that when we do meet, we have so much to talk about and check out that there's no time left to bitch. I guess the California climate does have a down-side. Not that I wouldn't be eager to trade white snow-covered trees for anything warmer in mid-February... Big Grin
