In cooperation with the Great Lakes Pantera Club, I am submitting this post to inquire if there is any interest to do a Pantera car show at a local Ford Engine Plant (former home of 351W) in Windsor Ontario Canada. The intent would be to have a display of Pantera’s with a coral of Mustangs parked in the parking lot for both the employees and the general population to see and enjoy. Senior Ford Management would be invited to speak in one of the two facility auditoriums.
The plan would also be to have an 06 and 2017 Ford GT present for pictures and reference.
Entries would be charged $30 to display their vehicle and the sum would go to charity (JDRF which is a corporate favorite and the Leukemia Society – agency that helped my family out. Pre-registered owners could have the opportunity to do a wide aisle tour of the engine manufacturing facility (depending on size of population). Each participant would also be provided a staged picture of their vehicle in front of a Ford sign.
Hotel discounts can easily be arranged for the group.
Before this option is discussed with senior management and legal for approval, we wanted to see how great of a demand there would be. With Canadian National negotiations coming to the facility in August/September the event would have to be late July 2016 or spring of 2017.
Thoughts?
