Problem with searching for cars on Ebay !

Hi Kjeld,
I just use all categories and the search word Pantera or De Tomaso or some variant and then list in order of highest price first, this gets rid of all the rubbish leaving only the cars in the first hits, but right now I only see one on American e-bay, which is the white GT5 replica project.

Yes you're right. I guess there has been somekind of change in Ebay policy. What I've heard it has something to do with buyer protection program that's not valid with overseas buyers and therefore listings can't be found. Not sure if that's the correct reason or not.

To see the listings you can use for example SearchTempest and include Ebay listings.

Or change your shipping adress to USA...

Yes i think you are right TransSami.

I send a email to Ebay custom service and they came bach with a looooooong explanation about some kind of bayer protection and most of the bayers are from USA and Canada so the sellers are not interested to ship to Europe. thats why i dont find any cars only parts ?.
Thats what they told me.

When searching for cars only and no parts, then click on "Shop By Category" just to the right of the EBAY Logo - When You click on that, then under "Ebay Motors" choose "Cars & Trucks" and make Your search. Then only cars will show up. At the moment there are 10 DeTomaso for sale:

I´ve noticed this as well... What a bummer... I mean, although I already have a Pantera (gotta pinch my arm), I still enjoy looking at other cars, for sale or not... You know, it´s a lot like my wife is always looking at houses for sale, although we already live in one - or wait, maybe that´s a completely different story...

Have noticed the same problem.
My solution is to open a random listing, and go to "Shipping and payment" where you enter a US destination. Then you can make a new search. I did it just now, and found 9 cars for sale.

Even for an eBay user in the US it has changed and become far more difficult to search for anything on eBay, I'm frustrated and not even bothering to look as much any more.

I guess some of it may have been prompted by all the scams, mostly from Romania apparently.

I found a way around the system, so all Pantera's will be showed, even if You're from outside the US

De Tomaso don't exist as "Vehicle Make", but type "Pantera" in the "Keyword field" and then all Pantera's will show up. Ofcause You can also define what year range You wanna search.
