Chuck Engles was very kind and sent me a copy of the Winter 1976 PI INTERNATIONAL magazine as it contains an add posted by Hugh Kleinpeter for a very rare factory DeTomaso Weber intake manifold that has been sitting on my motor for the past 48 years.
The point of this post is that the magazine includes a very interesting article by Hugh Kleinpeter of Team Pantera called Profiles of a Racing Pantera. Kleinpeter was a 6 times SCCA Divisional Champion. The article tells a very thorough story of why the Pantera never quite rose to the level of racing success that it appeared destined for.
