I love the clean lines of your cat.
I an curious about your headlight upgrade.

Yes they are easy to install.
The headlights on 6018 were manufactured by Amerisport (Kirk Evans). SACC Restorations (Scott Bell, a forum sponsor) sells something very similar. Vader Racing has some that are even "lower profile".
I'm not certain what Hall is selling.
Thank you for the info
If you're upgrading your headlights, a good addition is Pantera Electronic's Headlamp Controller.
Am I correct in assuming that the position of the headlight buckets must also be controlled ( in other words they do not lift all the way up ) making it look more streamlined
Yes.
While I don’t have this mod on my car, I understand that the limit switch is adjusted to stop the travel at the correct (significantly reduced) height.

That is correct.
I installed one of the early models from Amerisport. It required you to modify the headlight bucket. If you want the ability to return to the stock set up keep that in mind.
I have the 90mm Amerisport on the '74 and 60mm Amerisport on the GT5, those are super low profile and surprisingly good light for such a small unit. Of course LED technology has come along in leaps and bounds in recent years which opens up a World of opportunity around custom lighting with superb light output.
The bucket does require modifying on the front, but you could retain the parts for welding back together at a later date if so inclined.

The smaller lights so so much better than the 7in lights I am very tempted to make the conversion.
I'd love to know the process
You can download the installation manual from the Amerisport web site.
Wow !!!
Thanks Guys
Two comments: there are a few home-made low-rise rectangular conversions around that use only the low beam (or high beam) bulb of a std 4-headlight system from the '80s. Looks nice but limits your safe speed after dark. There's no law that demands you have high AND low beams, only that if you do, they be aimed properly.
And some modern bulbs use plastic lenses. These are slightly lighter than glass, but turn yellow after a year or so, locking you into constant polishing to restore function. Too much work for me even with the (small) weight savings. Suggest you stick to the vendor systems rather than trying to save a buck by DIY.
Good advice.
I joined POCA also..I hope that's OK
I watched a club video "Panteras in San Diego"
One owner had upgraded the headlights and the buckets were only opened up just enough to let the small lights do their thing.
It looked great
You are certainly not wasting your time.
I really appreciate it.
Slight change of direction
I'm from NY
Now living in Atlanta .I miss NY Parkways which were for cars only.usually scenic narrow twisty and in time you knew where the County Police Radar traps were.
Is anyone from the ATL area and are any Club Events near by
