I have posted photos of the heater box I built before; no A/C just recirc air, fresh air and heat:
I originally powered it with an Arduino which is kind of a pre packaged micro controller:
I have refined the circuit to control it with a micro controller:
This circuit will give me more external control meaning to change a setting I won't have to re-program the controller. The pots allow for individual end point adjustments and the dip reverses the servos.
The Heater box is controlled by 8 servos. Something I did a little different was air mixing.
There are 3 knobs; Def, Fresh/Rec Floor/Dash air
For instance, Defrost is completely separate and adjustable. It operates independent of the floor or fresh air vents.
Fresh air and recirc air is completely mixable. For instance, Fresh air is full on. As you turn the knob, recirc opens up till both are full on. As you continue to turn the knob, Fresh air closes until you have only recirc air.
The same for Floor/Dash air. Dash is full on, as you turn the knob floor air opens up. Continue turning the knob and the dash closes so you have only floor air. Any combination of the mix.
The unit will be put in a metal box like the turn signal and flasher controller in the first photo.
