Yelp... and what a coincidance! I wish I had one now. soaking overnight in vinager and rinsing in desiel is messy, (I'm trying to get the TR6 back running, fouling plugs was/is? a recent challange)
...only knew them as a kid from the JC Whitney catalog...
From what I've read they aren't recommended. They round off the sharp edges that are preferred for spark generation. Just use a torch, burns the buildup off in no time. Works great.
Had one in my H.S. auto shop class. Used it often too. Just needed to ensure you got all of the blasting sand out of the plugs before reinstalling them.
You can still buy them at Hazard Fraught Tools (Harbor Freight)!
I have one that I haven’t used yet.
They even come with sand pre-installed!

I have one of those spark plug sand blasters. I think I purchased it sometime back in the 1970's.

NAPA sold 'em for years, 29.95 works on compressed air, perhaps they still can order one
Here is the one from Harbor Freight. I used it not long ago and it worked well. It is like a micro blasting cabinet.
