In front of the radiator? Cooling is a bit of a problem here.

Yes. Many of the guys that have moved the condenser up front (in front of the radiator) have had no problems.

The post just above (PLT-1) just moved his, and he lives in Florida. I realize that Florida doesn't get to 120* like LV, but then LV doesn't have Florida's 200% humidity either. Big Grin

Sorry for hijacking.

Beside just being purty, stainless steel headers work better than mild steel two important ways: first, stainless does not transfer heat very well, so the engine compartment stays cooler. This slightly increases power and saves wire insulation and hoses from rapid deterioration. Second, one big problem with plain steel headers is a progressive drop in power as time goes on. And one big cause of this is having the inside of the pipes rust, which roughens the pipe walls and changes exhaust gas speeds. A couple of guys have lost 50 bhp from rusty headers, and gained it back on dyno runs by putting on a new set of the same pipes. Sure, you can Extrude-Hone and then Jet-Hot them inside and out, but who knows if the inner coating will gradulally flake off over years of use? With SS, a bluish/yellow color at any restriction is about all you'll get over time, and that usually polishes out. Like was already said, I wish I could win the lottery so I could afford the bends to make my own for my high-port A-3 heads....

Ron,
I just started my own business and things have been very hectic lately so I haven't had much time to devote to this project.
But yes,I would need to have atleast a few firm commitments before I went ahead with this project.

Ron
It's not looking good at the moment. I spoke with the company who I would have make the headers and the MSRP would likely be right about $3,000.00 for the set with mufflers and tips.
That is in stainless steel.
I would have to have 5 pretty strong commitments to go ahead with it and they would be for stock Cleveland port heads only.

I do,however, have a brand new set of Hall Pantera 180 deg headers and mufflers for a Cleveland with SVO heads.
Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks,
Ron
