What are the specs I need for 18 inch wheels in the rear for a stock body. Adjustable shocks. Wilwoods. Specs for a front 17 inch wheel.
I am not looking for a high dollar fancy wheel. I am looking for something I can occasionally race with.
I actually think that this has been answered within the distant past, i.e., within the last five years.
This is a strange forum in that there are what some here would consider "active members" who MIGHT only check in once a year or once every couple of years and even then don't share what they know or have learned treating it jealously as proprietary information.
Having said that, the main issue is that unless those old threads are saved in "sticky format", they are difficult to search with the present search engine included in this forum.
It would be nice to be able to use the information that has been posted previously over the years as an indexed Encyclopedia but I don't know how that can be made to work.
What David is suggesting though is valid. You are not just changing the wheels and tires, you are changing the system AND not only that, some of the tires that were found to fit well a few years ago, are like the P7 Pirelli in that they were only made for a short time and now obsolete as well.
Many of us have owned these cars for more then a few years and in fact more then a few decades. I have learned many times over that if I am going to make a serious modification to the original, that the new "bright shinny object of lust" enables me to go back to original if necessary or at least get a good long run out of it before it becomes obsolete. Tire sizes are a good example of that thinking.
