Hi! I need help! The rear of my '73 is listing to the right. This appears to be due to the panels buckling where the rear suspension attaches. Is there someway to repair this? Or someone near me who can?
Your Pantera needs to be visually checked out by an expert. Doing this on the Web is not possible. The rear suspension might have a loose or missing rear brace-bar, popped-loose spot welds holding the upper a-arm attachments, a broken shock or a-arm, missing rear crossmember, rust damage... the possiblities are endless and most are bad. ALL the repair parts are available from the usualy Pantera parts vendors but most require extensive welding to properly attach to the car. Your corner gas station welder can only make it worse. Where do you live?
I'm located in Oregon, about 50 miles SW of Portland, 25 miles NW of Salem. Are there any "Experts" anywhere close to me? I have enquired around with no favorable results to date! As far as I can tell, the problem appears to rust related. Thanks in advance for any help! sam

for what it's worth: I broke the half-tubes which make up the right rear shock mount in an unfortunate mishap. The damaged area was cut out and replaced and it cost about 2500 by the time it was all redone @ Collector's Choice. And I agree, have a good Pantera shop do the work.
