I looked up a thread for replacing my tires and wheel. There was 118 responses. I go brain dead after about 20. Plus I am not sure what the current ideas are. I have a 73 narrow body. I will have adjustable shocks. Springs are still a question also. I hope to go club racing sometime at Sebring. A friend I trust recommends Nitto. Besides being DOT approved, I do not care about tread wear life. I need to be inside the fenders with out rubbing or rolling anything. My TA 305s' stick out of the rear fenders. I will have a set of "like New" Campagnolo , 10 inchers that will be available soon.

Avons are very popular in the Cobra and Pantera community. Street legal and very sticky. My choice anytime.
Come on guys. No one has an opinion? 17 inch 18 inch wheel? Offset. tire diameter or set size. I want to keep the car low and level. Goodyear is now out. How about Hoosier. Something. Anything?
Hi, your post indicates you are getting a set of 10'' campys, so the tire choices are limited. I also have the Avons in 295/50/15, and they are the best you can get right now for a 10x15 inch wheel for the street, I think. When Pirelli manufactures the P7s again, which hopefully will be at the end of the year, then they will be my top choice.

My opinion is you likely have all the information you need in that thread with 118 responses. Contained within that thread is an amazing wealth of information posted by George and other owners
like you, I am considering new wheels and tires in the 18 and 17 inch range. I read the entire thread, came away a bit smarter and certainly more confused. I intend to go back to the thread, this time to take notes and then likely spend some time at tirerack.com investigating specific options
additionally, while your first post talked about getting OEM 10 inch-wide wheels now you’re talking about aftermarket 17 and 18 inch wheels? 😳❓❓
I humbly suggest you go back to that thread you didn’t want to read, actually invest the time needed to read it, take notes, and then perhaps you will be better equipped to ask specific questions for which you can get specific answers.

I have 10 inch original Campy's. Really great shape. The tire availability is the problem. I like the look of different size rims front to back. I was thinking 17s upfront and 18s in the back. I need sticky tires.
Is this just a track day set of wheels and you swap back to street wheels or will these wheels and 'sticky' tires be your everyday driving shoes?
Wheel styles are a personal thing, I'm not sure the group can answer for you and if we try to we end up just repeating the other thread here again...
Your TA 305's stick out because of wheel offset not tire width, you can get any combination of wheel offsets that easily allow 335 tires on the rear, but many say they are a little too wide for optimal track use and like a 315 width. Then, we can quickly get into a conversation on track setup, sway bars, ride height, corner weighting etc. not just wheels.
I have to start some where. My tires are probably 30 years old and came on the car. The Campy's came on the car. They are anything but sticky. What ever I put on the car will stay there. I am not going to switch ride height back and forth, I will pick a style of wheel I like. As long as they pass inspection.
