Please advise on the widest tires I can safely install on 7" and 8" rims for a stock 72 Pantera.

while not recommended by the mfr, i have 305-50-15's on my 8" rear wheels, as do many other pantera owners. if i'd a known about the v-rated pirelli scorpions in a 255-60-15, i prolly wooda gotten them instead. - the bfg euro t/a, the only 305-50-15 i'm aware of, is only h-rated. for the 7" fronts, 225-50-15's work well.
