Tool Kit

My 1971 PB came with the following:

Jack with extension bar and ratchet

2 sided open end wrenches:
10/12mm
12/14mm
18/19mm
16/17mm

Screw deivers: 2 flat slotted
1 phillips

1 pair pliers

Curved box wrench 11/13mm

Lug wrench/pry bar

Unknown T-wrench with cross bar

Manual window crank

And of course the carry bag

meaning they are forsale ???? I have a half complete kit .. not spare tire and no jack .... was there an inflator tank ??? Need to replace all this to make 9138 original. Need a battery cover also since the battery is submerged.

Dennis, mine came with a lot more open end wrenches than what yours did, all metric. Some of them are pretty little.

The wrenches are all double sided open ends. I'm not sure if there were any more but all the pouches are filled.

There was a space saver tire and inflation cannister that came with the car.

And a set of fan belts.

the screw drivers dont have and the pliers maybe I need a closer look at ... dont have and dont have the lug wrench either door crank Mell gave me ... need a spare tire and the inflator but need a pic of it .

Ron, FYI, the inflatable spare is a hot item amongst Mustang restorers. I've watched them sell for VERY BIG BUCKS on ebay. So if you run across one for any reasonable amount of money, scoop it up quickly!

But please, never ever consider using it for a spare tire.

I have a photo of a factory tool set and bag, as supplied. (spare tire and bottle not included)I'll try to add it as an attachment.

There are either two or three screw drivers included. I have only seen a set with two, one phillips and one slotted. Screwdrivers not included in the photo.

There were at least 3 variations of tool sets.
(The tools have different stampings for example.)
OK the photo failed, it has to be less than 200K, so I'm trying again with a low res version.

Complete original tool kits are bringing north of $300 on ebay right now. Wow. Let's keep 'em complete... or make 'em that way.

OK now the big question ?? whats is the original SPARE tire ... I know its a comapct but what brand and size ... I think I found one and real cheap.

Mine is labeled BF Goodrich Space Saver Spare

F-78-14-yup I have the same one and a toolkit with 2 screwdrivers too.
