I just went out for a similar ride. It's funny how heavy my right foot can get when in the company of anything with a V8 or better. I've had very few takers so far - so I knows what ya mean by weaving in and out of the cones.
Us Canucks know we only have a few months left to teach the uniformed. Until then...
How did you mount your camera? We ran a mountain road recently while my wife held the camera and while entertaining...that video will give you motion sickness! I'd like to film a couple of places near here but need a steady camera (and less screaming from the camera man/girl). Thanks, Mooso.
I am using a few year old Canon Powershot digital still camera that also takes video. I got short and long arms, extensions and a few other brackets so I had alot of options. They also have flexible extensions which are pretty good. I also got a U-clamp mount and the whole unit stays bolted to the rollbar.
But remember, once you bolt it all in place it's impossible to look thru the lense, so what you really need is a camera with a rotating, flip screen so you can see what it sees when you are in the car.
I can turn it on and off at will now. I wish I could pan and rotate though. I also wish I could find a plug-in microphone so I don't pick up all the wind noise. If I could, I'd mount the microphone in the engine bay.
I had a Ram Mount on my bike. Made for it and it showed!!! I would flip the screen like your saying, but being on the Dragon I didnt have time to see what the screen showed. They do make great products. Jeff
