There are TWO Holley Strip Dominator intake manifolds now at auction on Ebay. For those of you who have looked long and hard for these, and know what they are and how rare they are(Like "Curvee"). They are superior to all other manifolds for the 4 barrel heads, except the much more expensive "Air Gap" manifolds, which are for different heads anyway. Items #1871935183 goes in 5 days, now stands at $205.00 #1871961492 goes in 6 days, and stands at $100.00 Reserve not yet met. Good-Luck all! Marlin. P.S. I think my "Torker II" works just great!

That should tell you something!! Performers, Torkers,Weiands and offenhausers you can easily find and purchase for $200. and some change. The Holley Strip Dominator reputation, I have only read about. But does any other entity know more about carbureted induction, than the people that build the carburetors that occupy the winners circle more times than all the others combined?! Regards, Marlin.

...or you could just take a Torker manifold and put a 1 inch,(2 inchs if you really want to be bold)), 4 hole spacer on top as I did, since it's the same single planum(single plane) design as the strip dominator. It looks great having the holley sitting way up high behind the rear window! I think the strip dom. has smaller sized runners that up the velocity; as does RAISING the carburetor. But some have reported that raising the carb DECREASES the throttle response because it moves the carb,(which must meter off the vacuum SIGNAL), farther away from the vacuum SOURCE! I'll stay with the larger runners of the torker that match the ports of the four barrel heads. I have seen no signs of this "bottom end" loss of torque, some talk about! From 700-1000 idel rpm to whatever, this thing just moves forward at a high rate of speed!! Just my opinion, Marlin.
