Wayne, Powertrain Industries (www.powertrainindustries.com) has u-joints for OE half-shafts. Their part number is: 4151-32. My understanding is that it's a '70's Toyota 2wd truck driveshaft u-joint. The bearing cap is exactly the correct diameter but the crosses are slightly longer than an OE u-joint so Powertrain supplies it with thinner snap rings for Pantera applications.

These used to be stupid expensive from the vendors, but their pricing is down quite a bit.
I'd call one or two of them and then do the comparison bit versus Powertrain.
