Where to put the car jack up front.

Today, after a long wait, I finally got my new wheels. The problem I'm having now is that the car is a tad lowered, and from the ground and up to the frame-rails it is only a good 3" of clarence in the front.. So, I don't get my friends superlow racecar jack under the car. The problem will be solved by making a "extension" to the jack, but to be safe, I would like to know (Picture maybe?) where it is ment to put the jack so I don't risk bending something while lifting the front.

The easiest solution is to just drive your car up on a couple pieces of wood. This will give you another 40mm or so and let the jack fit under the car.

The rear is best lifted by placing the jack under the very rear crossmember. But use a small, thin (20mm or so) block of wood to prevent damage to the lip on the crossmember.

You can left the car from the sides at the original lifting points. These are just behind the B-pillar and just behind the front wheelwell. Look for round holes in the frame rails; these were where the stock jack was meant to be placed.

You can also lift at the front crossmember, but CAREFULLY. Some owners weld in extra metal here for strength. Again, you may need a small piece of wood to lift with damaging metal.
