I drained the oil from the ZF-2, but am unsure what torque spec to apply to the drain and fill plug. I searched and looked at the ZF manual but couldn’t see the specs.

I am guessing 35 pounds torque (maybe less) to secure it. More important is sealant on the threads such as Permatex #2 or teflon tape.

I always wrap mine with white teflon tape and tighten it by hand until it bottoms in the case. You can not tighten it any further and with the tape, it never leaks. The nut is basically flush with the bottom of the case at that point.
