I have a pair of BFG Euro T/A 245/50/15's for sale. The tires are brand new, unused, never mounted. They still have the stickers on them.
This size is used on the front of Panteras with an 8" rim. They will also work quite well on a 9" rim. This size and BFG tire line have been discontinued for years now. These have been stored in a dark, cool, dry place on their sidewalls. They are as perfect as can be. They are the only pair I have, and they are a rare find.
Those who use BFG Euro T/A's run 305/50/15 on 10" rims in the rear, and 225/50/15 on 7" fronts. Panteras can use as much front tire as they can get, so running an 8" front rim with the 245/50/15 will increase grip and help the car corner better. Some owners actually run this tire size combo.
A 305/50/15 is 27.00" tall with a 6.00" sidewall
A 225/50/15 is 23.85" tall with a 4.42" sidewall
The difference in height is 3.15".
A 245/50/15 is 24.65" tall with a 4.82" sidewall
In my opinion, the difference of 2.35" between the 245 and the 305 looks better than over 3" of difference between the front and rear.
