I think the best thing about this forum is the pictures that everyone posts of their work. That said, I've noticed there are discussions relating to the ZF tool and also re: what kind of oil to use ...

Well, I thought I'd post some pix of what you can expect when changing your ZF oil. Thanks to great aids like Chuck's Prova Mo site, I decided to use Castrol 80W-90 with limited-slip additive. The ZF tool I used actually came with my cat (thanks to Les Gray) and is pictured below ...

Funny thing is that (being under the car) I couldn't figure out how to get my ZF tool and wrench on the filler plug ... when I realized that the only way to get a tool in there is to go at it from the top. Doh! Red Face

I think Garth's drain plug wrench may be a little easier to use.
