Interesting is a good way to put it. I've never seen such a worn drivers seat and it looks like the PS fender lip has rusted away? Listing doesn't say anything about the original owner donating it to a church. Can we guess from your first post that you are the seller?

This is interesting. If you can ask $20k for a rusted out car, what could an excellent, totally rust free Pantera be worth if the owner decided to part the car out rather than sell it outright? I seem to have seen posts through the years on cars that are apart or need a lot of restoration work and the asking price seems to be out of line with what a decent car could be purchased for. Could the parts be worth more than the entire car?

That is true of any car out there. That is why strip shops exist. They steal a car, strip off all the parts and sell them on the black market. Stolen cars usualy wind up as parts in non-stolen cars. Frowner
It's my rookie opinion that pantera parts are clearly more valuable than a decent complete car. The high price of the parts is indicated by the listed prices of these cars. The cars sitting on rotisseries aren't worth 20 or 25K, that price is for the parts value. IMHO... You figure the ZF, hood and windshield are fairly pricey to replace on a daily pantera...
