1979 GTS Piant Code

Could it have been 1977 Lincoln Black Metallic code 1N or Dark Cordovan metallic code 8N ...

Any help would be greatly appreciated ... I have to check the original Invoice for the car ..but I think it only states black.

Don't know if the code for a '74 GTS is similar; PPG 33199 - DK GRAY POLY.

It's still available from PPG - we had it test sprayed for Tim Hobleys '74 US GTS. It's black with a light gold-like metallic to it.

You can also get it from Carpaintonline.com as a acrylic based lacquer

Yes - it's on the 72-74 color charts as the GTS Black color. PPG (ditzler) still has it as DK GRAY POLY.

We were actually quite surprized how many of the original colors PPG still were able to mix - one of them of course, the psychedelic 1971 Verde Acqua my car ended up in

See JT's post about the decals. Mine say "GT5", but if JT is going to have them repro'ed it wouldn't be hard for the printer to change the "5" to "S".

I never bothered to look at HALL ..I ahd my sign guy template them today and he is reproing them for my in a week or so.

Anyone have a pic with a ruler of the lettering on the trunk?
