The Rocker guard is a clear finish placed on the rocker panels to protect from chips kicked up by the tires. Many new cars come with such a finish pre-installed. You can tell because it has a rough/wavy finish.
Body-schutz is a very thick sprayable coating often used by pro body shops to fill scratches and small grinder marks in a panel without actually doing metal work. It's a 2-part that requires thorough mixing. Think "spray-able bondo". On our Pantera when I first bought it, it had a big 'run' on the hood paint, that returned twice after sanding it smooth & priming; turned out to be some uncured body-schutz from a poor mix some 3 yrs before I bought the car. Going to bare metal was necessary to get rid of it.
