335/35ZR17 - Going the way of the Dodo Bird?

I was chatting with a friend today, who owns a '98 Viper. He was telling me that Pirelli (the only one who's making the 335/35ZR17 size in a street tire) is killing the P Zero in that size come July. Has anyone else heard this as well?

Don't know about the Pirelli, but but can still get them as Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.
