There are a couple some fitment issues to be aware of. First, the exhaust
flange bolt holes are raised by 0.4" inches, enough to cause problems with
the headers I run in both the Pantera and the Mustang. Second, the intake
port is an intermediate port size meant to be used with a raised floor
intake like the Parker Funnelweb or TFC. Neither is an exact fit to the
ports but can be port matched or left alone.

The Australians I've talked to have said the same thing about the 3V heads.
They don't flow near what the manufacturer claims out-of-the-box and require
a lot of porting to reach 320 CFM on the intake. An iron 4V will flow that
with just a good valve job and bowl blending, BTW.

Next month's Popular Hot Rodding magazine is supposed to have an "Engine
Masters Contest". Dave Stoerling built the Ford motor in the contest,
using the 3V heads and made well over 600 HP.

> They are made in Australia I think.

Yes by CHI (Cylinder Head Innovations).

> Is there another source for these besides PI? Just curious.

Mike Fielder imports them and attends the Columbus Ohio All Ford swap
meet and I think the PRI show.
