OK, is it just me or have all the auto parts stores had their gonads removed and turned into "nicer, gentler" places that sell everything by the pint or quart????

I'm trying to find a GALLON of Castrol 80W90 for the ZF....picked up the positraction additive, but can't seem to find any stores that sell more than a quart at a time of gear lube!!! I still run "good ol' 'Merican" four speeds in my other cars and can use left overs there and in the rear ends!!!

Just can't seem to find any retail outlets that sell less than 5gallons at a time, or more than a quart! (And their shelves were dry too!)

What next, Valvoline 80W90? Gallons?

Anyone seen them, or have they too gone the way of the dinosaur...melted down into petroleum products??? Smiler

Ciao!
Steve

I too tried to buy 80/90 "Castrol Hypoy C" gear oil. Turns out no Castrol gear oil available around here unless I buy 35 lb buckets (about 5 gallons).

So I used Valvoline.
The Valvoline tech line sent an email to me "the Valvoline High Performance 80w90 Gear Oil contains 3% limited slip additive in the blending of the product.
