I'm installing a all new A/C system in my 71. The A/C lines originally were routed in the right door sill and were very stubborn to remove and routing them back thru I think would be impossible. I'm thinking of removing the soft copper heater lines and routing the A/C lines in there place while making a couple holes under the A/C box to route 2 short hoses to the radiator tubes. I will connect them by welding 2 nipples to the stainless tubes. Is this a dumb idea? could it effect the engine cooling in a negative way? Has anyone routed all four lines thru the console? It looks like it would be crowded and cause other issues.
