A childhood dream realised!

Well we finally did it!! After YEARS of searching and dreaming we have finally agreed on a deal and purchased a Detomaso Pantera (had to write it in full because it just sounds SOOOO good).

VIN 4115 is ours and we have a few people to thank for it.

Firstly, our heart felt appreciation goes to Mike McLeod from Nevada for his time, effort and advice and going to look at the car. Secondly, to V8Capri for his unwavering support and encouragement. Also to Accobra for answering our cries for help on PI and his great advice. And last, but not least, to Mr Provamo himself, Chuck Melton, for his assistance and responses.

Here's to it being all you dreamed it would be, and more!

If you're like me, after my 18 month search, I would find myself just getting up from whatever I was doing in the house, and heading out to the garage to just look, pinch myself and go....

I would actually wake up in the middle of the night and go check the garage to make sure I wasn't dreaming, that I really did have a DeTomaso Pantera in MY garage! Then I'd admire her for a few minutes before heading back to bed.

Thanks for all the good vibes guys. Our shipping guy will probably be collecting the car in mid-October so it won't hit our shores until mid to late November - just in time for Christmas and the gorgeous long summer evenings!!

We've waited many years to own one of these. In fact, saw my first Pantera back in Ireland when I was 10 and have wanted one ever since. Funny enough that one was yellow too! And while it will only be about 10 weeks until we get this it will now seem like another lifetime until it arrives!!

Best I can do for pics and specs at this stage is post the ebay ad. I will of course post a multitude of pics once we get her!

Yes, in Vegas by a guy called Walter Boud. Its been on ebay twice in the last few weeks. The only pics we have are from the ebay ad which I just posted in the previous reply. Looks very similar to yours actually though mine didn't come with the Supermodel modifications!!!

Just need to get some of the bonnet grills now....

I hear you! Thing is I haven't even seen the car in person yet but I'm already planning all the modifications and little things that I want to do. I only bought my Corvette 6 weeks ago and I'm already ignoring it making room for her stable mate!! I feel like I'm cheating on her Razzer
