My 71 Pantera stock original AC compressor finally gave up. I think the Freon leaked out through one of the seals. I ordered a new type compressor from Pantera East but it won't fit my car because the suction and discharge connections aren't the right size. My old compressor has 1 inch OD fittings on both the suction and discharge sides. Marino told me that all of the ones he knows of had different size fittings on the suction and discharge. Anybody know if this is correct? Anybody know where I can get a new compressor with 1" fittings? Thanks.

I bought the same compressor from PE. I went to my local NAPA store and bought an adapter for the small hose..it is a 90 degree. For the large hose, it was long enough to bring out from under the car and crimp a new end on it in the NAPA parking lot. I a lucky to have made friends with the store operator and we took the crimper to the parking lot. Napa has a A/c book that has picture of the many adapters. I also bought an $80 cross flow condenser from ackits.com and a $20 dryer from NAPA. After loosing about 3 charges of 134 through several leaks. I finally have cold air on the hottest days. It has been a month sisce we did mine, here are a few part #406001 406902 90-544 90-676 You check for yourself, but one or more of thos part #s worked for me.
