Has anyone come up with a way to add oil to the ZF and not end up with oil puking down the side of the trans? JD

A little pump works well, they sell one that fits the top of the oil bottle
the way I did mine on the weekend was remove the top breather hose, get a small funnel and a piece of vacuum line, the vac line fits tightly over the breather tube and around the bottom of the funnel.
then pull the side plug out and slowly fill the funnel, it goes in the box and eventually it will come out the sideand you can plug it without spilling a drop !!

I use a funnel with a long flexible spout. The end is small enough to fit in the side fill hole.

A couple of feet of ordinary garden hose and a funnel that will fit in the end of the hose.

I took a small funnel and heated the last inch and a half or so with my heat gun and put a nice bend in it. Sliped right into the hole. No drips runs or errors!

Just look for the flexible hose at any auto or hardware store. They acre onto your gear oil bottle and slide right into the hole.
Remember to jack up the rear of the car and get as much in as you can.

Thanks for all the input. I'm sure all will work fine. I'm going to try the fill from the top by V8capri. My trans has a stainless vent tube making it a little harder, but I have the time. JD
