In the Winter 2002 issue of P.I's magazine, I covered adjusting the damping of old Konis, with illustrations etc. These pre-1980 Koni shocks do not height-adjust except with individual shims under the springs. But Pat Mical at www.patsauto.com adds adjusting sleeves to Konis and Ariston shocks for Panteras (Aristons were stock on some 1971 cars). Later Konis were gas-pressure shocks & I'm not sure about them as far as adjustability. Also be aware that leveling out the car by playing with the spring heights changes the cross-weight (due to the gas tank & the driver being on the same side of the car or due to the partial collapse of the rear subframe), and such adjustment may adversly affect handling at the expense of a neater appearance.
