Aloha Guys!

I've been in Las Vegas for 2 weeks. Totally busy making the move. My belongings were delayed in shipping and I will still be without them for 2 weeks. To top it all off I got a head cold. I do like it here though. The freedom of being able to jump in my car and drive endlessly is great!

What's with the delay? I thought arrival of your stuff was a week ago?
A cold in Las Vegas? Isn't it 105 degrees now? Gee you never got sick in Hawaii....just kidding. See you soon.

Howard in PARADISE...Aloha

They say that the docks are backed up and the stuff hasn't been released to them. Hopefully soon, I'm tired of sitting on the floor! The temps are in the 100's but it suprisingly doesn't feel that hot compared to Hawaii due to the dry climate. I've always hated the humidity of the islands. In any case, the prices here make up for paradise lost!

I'm retired so no job issues. Hawaii is becoming even more of a tax hell that it already was. My living expenses have been cut in half by moving to Vegas. Hawaii is virtually broke and getting deeper in debt due to the lack of tourism. Since we were planning to travel the U.S., Vegas gives us a home base to travel from which saves us a lot of money compared to traveling from Hawaii. We still have our home in Hawaii in the event that we want to return.

There is a Cars and Coffee event every Saturday morning. It starts before I wake up, maybe 7:00am, and ends at 10:00am. It is on south Eastern, two blocks south of the 215. It is in the Motorcars of Las Vegas parking lot. The Black Pepper Grill sits out front.

I don't go every week, but I would definitely have a reason to go if I knew you were going to be there! :-)
