I would like to get rid of the large and ughly power antenna I have. Anybody got ideas and pictures?

I am using this unit on 2511. Mounted to inside of windshield, behind mirror, it is pretty well not noticed.

I have this one too. I'm not very happy with it. It only picks up the very strongest stations and even that is spotty. Unfortunately, it seems to be the best alternative under the circumstances.

How are you running the wire up to the rear view mirror?

Hawaii, I've heard of a power antenna being mounted on the right engine cover and with the 1/4 window removed it extends up through the opening. I'm also in search of a replacement. I've thought about using the "shark fin" antenna the BMW's have. The Audi TT also uses a very small antenna. I wonder if these could be mounted on the engine cover? Don't know how much the surrounding engine compartment would effect reception however.

The shark fins are for GPS systems.

It has a long cord and it can run easily under the screw on trim pieces on the side and top of the front window. If I remember correctly, I may have run it on the inside of the brace at the top of the window.
