I received this message from Tom McDowell the owner of the Concorso:

quote:
We are working with Mazda Raceway (Laguna Seca) to have an Italian car display area on Saturday, August 14th, the day following the Concorso. The display will be small and we hope to include a DeTomaso. This is not technically a Concorso program, but the track asked us to find the cars for them. The offer is that the owner places his DeTomaso in the Italian pavilion area for the full day. There is no admission charge. At the end of the day the owner drives away. Done.

Anybody interested please contact me by private message ASAP.

thanks

Well, I contacted George and was one of the 4-6 Italian cars that finally made it to actually be displayed. I don't know what happened to the plans for a dozen or so cars to be displayed.

The display was on one of the three large grass display 'pods' Laguna Seca has set up for vendors to show their wares. Not ever before an area for the display of privately owned cars.

I closed the deck lids for these photos, but displayed all day Saturday with both front and rear open for viewing. Had to show off the new air cleaner set up... Wink

A nice feather in the cap for 2511 and our dear, loved Panteras. Big Grin
