We've tried about everything we know to soften my clutch pedal but it just may simply be the offset angle of shifting that aggravates the degenerative disc in my back. I can't drive my car and having friends drive me around just aint the same. I know this is sacrilegious, but is anyone aware of an automatic conversion? Thanks, Jeff

Forget the automatic conversion, use a vacuum assisted clutch booster to eliminate the effort. Read about Ron Hyde's conversion of his Pantera to hand controls here:

If clutch effort can be reduced to the point it can be operated with one hand, surely this arrangement could be used to relieve all stress from your leg/back to operate the clutch. Just an idea.
Glenn Coggins adapted his Pantera to hand control as well, but I believe he used an "auto-clutch" setup. Try contacting him for more information about his solution. He used to have a website, but I can't find it.

I'm not sure what his current email address is, but here are a couple he's used on the DT Mail List over the last few years.
