what do you mean?

hi Simon, my Pantera was driven in Germany in the past. Right now it is in Austria. Here we need other Lights and we have other regulations.
So I want to start this thread.

All the rules into Europe are the same for old cars.
When you need new front headlights they are easy to get on Ebay.de

I imported 2 Panteras this year and am going through the restoration process and the german TÜV. The front lights needed to be changed. They needed to have the "E" sign on them. They are easy to find on Ebay for little money. The back lenses need to be the european kind with the amber lens for the direction indicators.They are harder to find but not impossibile. Roughly 200-300 Euros the pair. The wiring needed to be modified so that it conforms to the german legal requirements. I would advise you to ask at your local TÜV as my experience is that requirements change depending on who is doing the inspection.

for The Netherlands , Belgium and maybe also Austria;
front turn indicators white lenses
headlights whit a sharp angled light stripe.
taillights red , but I know German TUV/Dekra likes the amber turn indicator
wiring easy to modifie if needed.
all parts easy to find on Ebay.

I just imported a Pantera from US and made the following modifications according to german TÜV requirements.
1. Changing the lights to H4 Lights
2. Changing the park lights to white glases.
3. I painted the bulb for turn signals in yellow with a special transparent color
4. I drilled a hole in the reflector and installed a white light for parking ( the cable has to be changed)

So I have a white parking light an a yellow direction light in one box.

As far as I know from my other cars red turn signals are accepted by the TÜV. But I bought new backlights with a yellow turn signal part in Italy. The back lights are from an ALFA ROMEO 2000 BERLINA from 1972.

I installed it on my Pantera and I am super satisfied with it. Here in Denmark Daylight driving Lights are mandatory, so it serves that purpose perfect and at the same time it works as indicators.

Looking great! But what about the yellow/ amber flashing repeeter we need in the front here in Denmark?

That Pantera-Electronics-kit does look good, but are the parking lights really amber. So when you switch from day-time lights to parking lights they turn from white to amber leds?

Parking Light and Day-time Light are the same light in this Lamp. It is very bright white light EXCEPT when you activate the Indicator THEN it turns to Amber flashing. Once the Indicator is deselected it returns to white.

At the Inspection they did not complain about this setup.

OK, so there is no difference daylight/parking.

It was this quote from their website that got me wondering:

Transami, yes there is a different Parking and day-time Light if you want that. It just didnt make any sense to me as I need only day-time driving light and have no use of an Amber Parking Light!

So I did not connect the Amber wire from the LED´s only the white ones which I connected to one of the OE Parking Light wires if I remember correctly. I use the Light Switch in the dash at the first click to serve as day-time Light incl. the Tail Lights.

What I was looking for was an option for two different brightness for white leds ( daylight brighter + parks less bright ) + amber or white turn signal.

But I guess that's a combination I still have to wait for.

Then this kit will suit you perfect. Just use it as it is intended and use the Amber Parking light connected to your OE Parking light and then pull a new Wire for a switchable Day-time Light connected to the white Wire. Bingo! and you have a bright white Day-time light and if you connect it to a "run" source then as soon as Ignition in Run it will override the less bright Amber with a bright white.

I mean if you can live with an amber Parking Light. Should not be much of an issue as you dont really see it from the Drivers Seat ;-)

Yes, but...

Amber parking lights are not allowed here, only white. And parking lights can't be as bright as the daylight lights.
