They are jet-hot coated with chrome tips. NO rust/pitting on the tips. I'm in Arizona we don't get much water here. I'd be inclined to say perfect finish on the tips but I'll settle for excellent :<) They were purchased from Hall in 1994. I've got about 30K miles on them. If you were going to show the car then you would probably want to get the headers recoated. They are Ansa mufflers, I had a typo. BTW, jet hot is about 50 miles from me. If you want to work a deal with jet-hot I can drop them off to jet-hot and they can ship them.
The talk about tips jogged my memory. When I received the mufflers in 1994 I noticed that one of the mufflers had the inserts inside the tips concave and the other muffler had the inserts convex. I asked Hall about it and the reply was to just paint the insides black to make it less noticable. It worked because no one has commented on it since. Seems like every Pantera part that I bought in those days needed some tweaking.
