I am in south carolia. I just had my cowl vents black anodized. I was dissapointed, the finish was very dull. I have never known of Black Chrome. I know how to paint it.. sand it, etch it, epoxy prime it, paint it the color of your choice. I have painted bumpers all around with paint that sticks. Bill

nickel plating is what you are looking for, its a very deep black chrome finish
