I want to replace the stainless steel braided brake booster hose. Can someone please provide the ID. of this hose? I assume it is the same size at the intake manifold as it is at the brake booster ? Thanks
Mark, Someone must have replaced yours. I know mine is the original because it still has the screw driver only round headed hose clamps. The hose is similar to the type used for the original fuel lines. It is rubber braided with a stainless steel cover. I am sure your hose is fine , I just like the braided cover appearance.
If it is just standard rubber fuel line, you may have troubles. Vacuum hose is very heavy wall, designed not to collapse under, what else, a vacuum. Any decent NAPA should stock what you need, but I do not know what the size is.
I used the Pantera Place-recommended hose--NAPA part number NBHH178. Its stiff wall won't collapse under vacuum. From the NAPA Web site...
