Brake calipers

For those who are running big wheels, these may be intresting. I checked them out today and he had 50 pairs of them. They are almost new. If you are intrested let me know, he lives around the corner. The original disc's have a dia. of 37.1 cm

I realy don't know, but I was supprised how heavy they were. We do a lot of effort to keep the unsprung load as low as possible, But these feld like they were made out of cast-iron.

I wonder if they chose a denser material in order to withstand the extra heat generated by the system with carbon ceramic discs. If the discs are lighter, I guess the weight is about the same but the braking would definitely be improved. Plus the fact that you won't have to deal with brake dust (or so I'm told).
