I, like most of my fellow Pantera owners am a do-it-yourself wrencher. While upgrading my rotors, rebuilding calipers and removing the pressure valve I found that trying to create a good bubble flare by "cheating" with a conventional tool was not producing the desired results. Even single or double flares, while acceptable, were not the best they could be.

Then I found this gem, I cannot say enough great things about it. Kit 165 will produce single and double flares in various inch and metric sizes, and bubble flares in 4.75mm, 6mm, and 8mm.

Prices vary, I have found them just shy of $50 (if you can wait for the shipping delivery), I got my "Made in the USA" version for $90 (jobber price)at NAPA because I wanted it NOW.

Best tool per dollar I have ever bought. Yes there are better hydraulic tools, but this is the best on-car tool going

Mark, are you a Matco dealer? Is there a list anywhere of fellow Pantera owners who are also tool vendors? That would be a nice thing to know since if I need to make a mail order purchase I would prefer to support a fellow owner by keeping the money "in the family" so to speak.

And yes that Mastercool tool is damn nice, Eastwood makes a pretty sweet vice mounted unit as well. For off-car flaring they are pretty sweet.
