My booster sticks, I have to back the bolts off of the master cylinder to let it spring back (the brakes gradually start dragging until I do this). My car has only 6500 miles on it, so this is from sitting. Any recommendations on who can rebuild this or is there any aftermarket upgrade for it that anyone knows of.

Early Cat,

I would just check with any of the vendors on rebuilding yours or purchasing a new one.

I don't see one on PI Motorsports (pim.net)website but I would bet they could help you out. I also have used Dennis Quella in Castle Rock, CO for quite a few parts and would bet that he could assist you also.

I see that Hall Pantera sells a brake booster with master cylinder on their website for $425 with a $200 core charge. This does not look 100% original if that is what you are looking for though.

Good luck.
Early Cat,

Sometimes the diaphragms in the booster relax or shift a bit as they age without use. Have you tried shortening the adjustable rod that resides between the master cylinder and the booster? I had the same issue in my car some years ago. If you search this board you will find a measurement for initial length. You can use this as a starting point, but your present setting is likely too long for your current booster. Try backing it off .060" at a time. -Could be an easy fix.

Best,
Kelly
