Seen a commercial for BullRun Season II Can't confirm, but I see a Pantera in the promo. Anyone seen or heard about the car? I watched the show last year and found it entertaining. Now I think we here have a good reason to watch.. This is a link to the promo and a short glimpse of the car.

Just finished the 'Sneak Peak' episode. Hats off to Jason. Car looks great and sounds amazing. Great cinematography. He is in control of his emotions and in the middle of the pack. Can't wait for episode 1.
I was expecting more of Cannonball Run / Cops, Cars and Superstars show.
Watched it last night. I don't enjoy the show much, but I watch because of the Pantera. His car looks and sounds great. I am so happy to see our cars get some exposure.

I would love to see team Lexus stick around, but it seems doubtful. I would hate to pay the Ferrari bills after the show is over. The Evo guys are crazy. The Corvette people are freaky. The two people from Vegas are love/hate. Don't like the Solstice, do like the VW Bus.

Finally saw the first episode, and I really didn't like the content, editing, or the number of commercials (the same ones over and over too) but yeah, the Pantera looked great, and it was in a lot of shots!

My wife was reading while the show was on, but always looked up for the clips of the Pantera, she knew it was onscreen because the engine sound was so much louder than the other cars - I'll be surprised if Jason and Nick come out of this without losing their voices after having to talk loud enough for the mics in the car to pick them up Wink

Way to go guys!

But sorry dudes, that is one lame show. As dumb as The Bachelor, Biggest Loser and all the other 'nothing going on' super slow to watch no brain shows the women in my house love to watch.
Yeah Dave, It is kinda corny. I tried to keep one eye open, but fell asleep anyway. I musta missed the ZF pull. What happened?
after being lost for 4 hours, they lost the throw-out bearing in the tranny. Did the entire swap in 6 hours in a parking lot with some help from 2 other teams. Only to loose by 3 seconds in the challenge after all that work.

They both seemed like class acts. It was great to see the cat on the show. Now my wife even thinks I should get one Big Grin
It was really impressive that they removed and replaced the zf in 6 or so hours, in a prking lot, in the cold with no power equipment and made? a throw out bearing. In spite of all the comptetition betweent the teams there were 3 or 4 teams that pitched in to help out. Surprised the show didn't make a bigger deal about that. That's a real tribute to the Pantera guys not to mention the others that helped..

Way to go guys!!!
I was out of town all week at a (surprisingly) well attended conference, came dragging my rear up to the room, clicked til I found SPEED and...

The show's hardly the WORST on SPEED(SuperCars Exposed actually drops the intelligence of those who watch it) but it ain't great. It was encouraging to see others scrambling to help Team Pantera. Sadly, they drove off into the sunset.

Probably won't watch the show religiously, but might if I hear Team Evo accidentally ingested bees while driving with their heads out the window.
Yeah, but reading through the team Evo thread and other comments on the show I feel for some of these guys. Like team Evo's (and Jason Eaton's e-mail list) thread says "reality TV is not reality", it's a bunch of editing, mostly out of context to make for TV drama, enough footage and you can portray any image. No one deserves to have their car wrecked and then not returned by the show producers.

I can't see any reason for me to follow the rest of the episodes and provide the producers ratings, god forbid they'll want to do a season 3.

I agree. I waited weeks for this. Kudo's for the 6 hr replacement of the t.o. bearing and also the others helping. I think that everyone likes a Pantera and there were many rooting for our car. For me I think that the show sucked. It's got to much camera movement going on, you can't even focus on any thing to get any kind of detail. I don't like the dialog and I agree that more should have been said about the others helping with the ZF pull. I wont be watching any more and I'm sick of the commercials of it.

my 2c's
Well I finaly got to see episode 2. As others have stated filming is great (hey! especially the Pantera shots), but the editing just jumps around too much. Similar to other 'reality' type shows there are people you love and others you learn to hate (be it because of their personalities or the editing style or the producers).

I am very deceived Jason has been dropped. Other teams came in, rolled-up their sleeves and helped with the repair, (not all of America is dog eat dog, especially the car community Smiler

I think the formula for this show is the biggest handicap. The 'kick someone off' at each leg leaves absolutely no room for error or breakdown. If each leg had points value, summed-up at the end, the show would be even better. The American Idol format is too long (city to city auditions get boring) but to reduce the final cut down to 7 episodes totaly ruins the format and in this case leaves the producers to pick their own favorites (and maybe leave money on the table if the viewers don't vote for their favorites)
Anyways as much as I thought Elvis and the Dart teams were flakes (past tense.. NOW team player guys with big hearts IMOHO) I guess I'll be cheering for them even though the dice has already been tossed.

Finally I hope we get to meet Jason and Nick somewhere with the Pantera guys in the future.

PS The Bullrun chat states the whole production ran 20 days (Dec 1 to 20) and loosers follow the crew thru the end. I wonder what happens the rest of the time. D
