Bushing thickness

The thin end goes on the "inside" of each a-arm "socket", and the thick end goes on the "outside of each a-arm "socket".

Yes. Even the stock rubber bushings were "offset" to the outside of the a-arm socket.

Do ya think this is a good reason why we should replace the old bushings? Its pictures like these that make me feel better about doing this otherwise PIA job.



I went back in with the poly because they are so much easier to re-install. I probably won't be able to tell whether the poly rides harsher than the rubber because I have changed all kinds of suspension components, shocks, wheels, tires, a-arm and sway bar bushings. Has anyone just replaced the rubber A-arm for poly bushings and can comment on any changes to ride quality?

Mine started off looking like this as well.
