Wayne,
I just completed this job on my car as one of my winter projects. While I was at it I added grease zerks to all the bushings. Turned out to not be a hard job at all, just took my time & followed Fred Terry's instructions that Mike refers you to @ Pantera Place. I had a machinist buddy make me the "pilot/driver" in Freds' article & it works like a champ. Be aware that it takes a big vise & in my case I had to use about a 3' breaker bar on the vise handle to get enough pressure to press out the outer part of the old bearings - they are VERY tight. I suppose it might have been easier to do all but the last step in the article & then take the A-arms & pilot driver to a machine shop & have them use a press to get the outer bearing inserts out, but my time is cheap when it comes to working on the P-car & I wanted to see if I could do it at home. If you decide to go ahead & do it yourself I'll be happy to send you the pilot/driver I had made which should save you some $$ to use for the cost of shipping it to you. Just drop me an e-mail at
< bob[at)dodgecarroll.com> if I can be of help. Good Luck!
