Just came back from Montreal, beautiful weather going and returning, slighly overcast and some rain, the best part though was our noizy entrance seeing friends we hadn't seen over the winter months, talk& see all the little (some more extensive) things the've done in the off season. Present were Will, Carmen, Michel, Gaetan, Mark and David. Ron McCall couldn't show but sent a few representatives of the Chesapeake chapter. We parked right in front of the restaurant. Tons of lookers, DeTomaso was well represented.

Yup, it was another gathering of our hard-core group. Not afraid to risk getting wet and cold to get a chance to gather and share our cars with the adoring public. A few last minute cancellation meant we had fewer cars than we hoped for but as Denis notes, it was nice to meet some new faces too.

Even though Denis and I drove almost 2 hours each way to get to Montreal, Will was the longest-distance Canadian at almost 6 hours each way for his trip. Then we got to talking to Lashdeep and his group from the States and found they had driven for 10 hours in a group of cars that included a Gallardo Superleggera, a Porsche and a fully race-prepped C5 Vette. They are a pretty hard-core group of gear-heads that we got along great with.
Although it eventually got pretty wet, the weather made for a spectacular Grand Prix race on Sunday.
Thanks again to David for organizing and coordinating everything so well, as usual.
Italian Car Day in Toronto this weekend! All the usual suspects will be there. Looking forward to a nice long ride. Also looking forward to showing off the marque when we rumble onto the grass in front if all those 'other' Italians. It will be great to see all the Canadian cats again, especially Doug who is coming all the way from Calgary. See link for the event at the top of this post.
